Step 1: Follow invite to create your account

Tier4 has partitioned an account and sent an invite email. Open the email and follow the link to create your account password. You will be redirected to the portal homepage where you can login for the first time.

Step 2: Add Integrations to Your Tenant

Once you login, you will see the tenant created for you. To add your security integrations, navigate to the Integrations page. To add a new integration, click Connect under the vendor and follow the appropriate instructions in the Integrations page to gather credentials and connect the tool. Once you have successfully connected the integration(s), alerts will begin to flow and be analyzed.

Step 3: Configure Notifications

Tier4 offers two methods for receiving notifications: email and Slack. Navigate to the Settings page and follow the instructions for adding your chosen notification mechanism. Note: you can add multiple emails to receive notifications.

Step 3: Configure Automated Response Actions

Navigate to the bottom of the Settings page to see the Automated Actions. Actions that are available based on your tooling will be highlighted in bold. Follow the instructions in Response Actions to configure the availble actions to best support the given tenant.

Step 4: Invite Additional Analysts

In the top right corner, select My Organization. To add additional analysts to the platform, select Invite New User. You will need to add Name and Email along with a chosen Role for the user. DO NOT change the Organization value unless you would like to add customers to the platform. This value is pre-filled to ensure all invites are under your organization. Next you need to decide which tenants the user will be added to (in this case, just the one). Tier4 offer three types of user roles: Administrator, Analyst Editor, and Analyst Viewer. The Analyst Viewer role has no ability to modify the platform in any capacity. The Analyst Editor has access to all pages except for My Organization and can perform remediation, modify cases, add new integrations, and modify automation configurations. The Administrator role has full access to all features in the platform.

Step 5: Configure Ticketing System (if necessary)

There are two options for integrating ticketing systems with Tier4, outlined in the Ticketing. Tier4 autonomously syncs with all ticketing systems to ensure updates are reflected in both places. Ticketing systems are polled multiple times per day to reduce API calls on the system, so status updates made in the ticketing system may be delayed partially. Follow on-screen instructions and the User Guide to properly integrate the new ticketing system. You have the option to configure automated ticket creation in the Settings page.
