Gather API Token and Key Variables
- Log in to Jira, click on the user icon in the top right corner
- Select Account Settings
- Select Security tab
- Select Create and maange API tokens
- Select Create API Token
- Give the token a name, e.g. Tier4 Token
- Select an expiration date (we recommend 1 year, the max for Jira)
- Click Create
- Copy the token and save for later
- Note the URL of your Jira instance, e.g. https://your-company.atlassian.net
Add Integration
- Open Tier4 platform, and navigate to Ticket Management
- Choose Jira integration by selecting Connect
- Add the following values you collected earlier:
- URL to the Jira Server = Jira Instance URL
- Jira Account Email = email of user who created token (e.g. you)
- Jira API Token = saved token
- Click Continue.
