# Introduction to Response Actions

> Automatic and Manual Response Actions

Tier4 leverages security API integrations to take a multitude of response actions on behalf of security analysts. Automated response actions are disabled by default to ensure customers have adequate opportunity to decide on autonomous settings. Once you have confirmed that autonomous response is right for your environment, go to **Settings** in the navigation bar and scroll to **Automations**. Each type of response action can be configured differently. In addition, for multi-tenant environments configurations are unique to each tenant to ensure adequate flexibility.

  Not all response actions are available to every environment. Each security API has different capabilities. Available actions will be highlighted in bold on the **Settings** page to alert the analyst to available configuration. The AI Analyst is aware of the environments tools and will provide automations accordingly.
